Pastoral Letter from Keith Paulus on July 17, 2020

Dear Friends,

Just a quick briefing from me this week. We’re continuing to move forward to our church regathering date of July 26. Please keep this regathering in your prayers as we tend to all the details involved and as we monitor the health situation around us. As was noted in the email from last week, there will be more information coming to you in the next few days.

Preparing for Sunday Worship (at home or in small groups)

I will be preparing a video reflection for you (hopefully, the last one!) for this coming Sunday. Our study in Mark’s Gospel will continue as we reflect on Mark 2:13-17. As you prepare for worship this Sunday, you might read through the passage ahead of time and reflect on the nature of God’s grace to you: How have you experienced God’s grace in your life? And how does the reality that you’re saved by grace alone impact the way you live your life, including the way you treat others?

By the way, our study of Mark’s Gospel will still continue when we start to regather as a church. So, if you’ve missed any of the reflections in this series and want to make sure you’re caught up before we meet again, you can find all the recordings on the church website.

NEW – Wednesday evening online Bible study

Mark Hastings, one of our church elders, is leading a Zoom Bible study on Wednesday evenings at 7 PM. This is brand new and anyone’s welcome to join in. If you’d like more information or the Zoom link, please email the church office at info@christchurchnyc.com.

Lord willing, I look forward to seeing you all soon!

Gratefully yours in Christ,
Keith Paulus
