Sundays

Morning Worship at 111 East 87th Street

10:00 am | Worship Service and Children’s Programs

Our Sunday service is a historically liturgical Anglican service with a mixture of the old and the new, emphasizing preaching from the Bible,  joyful and reverent worship, heartfelt prayer, and the regular administration of the sacraments.

We also offer children’s programs with music, teaching, and activities for children aged 3 to 5th grade, as well as a staffed nursery for infants to 2 year olds.

What to Expect on a Sunday

If you would like to learn more about Christ Church, the best way is to join us on a Sunday. You can expect a warm welcome and lots of friendly conversations with others in the congregation. We are a diverse church with people of various ages and from various backgrounds. We look different and dress different (some casual, some in suits), but are united by our common love for Jesus and our desire to gather around his Word.

Please join us for the coffee hour immediately following the service. This is a great way to connect with the people who make up Christ Church!

The Rhythm of Our Worship

Our worship services are characterized by an intent focus on the Bible and its truths applied to our lives, along with joyful and reverential worship, giving thanks and praising God for what he has done for us in Jesus Christ.

Worship services at Christ Church usually open with singing, followed by confession, a prayer for the children before they are dismissed to their Sunday School classes, Bible readings, corporate prayer, a clear teaching based on one of the Bible readings, and then, most Sundays, a celebration of Holy Communion.
