Kyle Werner

Kyle Werner is a composer whose works have been heard at The Washington Ballet,
MarqueeTV, Guggenheim Works & Process Digital Commissions, Windscape, the
Chicago Chamber Musicians, Grand Rapids Symphony, Redeemer Presbyterian Church,
Tenth Presbyterian Church, Emmanuel Presbyterian Church, Geneva School of
Manhattan, and New York-Presbyterian’s Allen Hospital. He completed the Doctor of
Musical Arts and Master of Music degrees in Composition at Manhattan School of
Music, and a Bachelor of Music in Composition at the University of Cincinnati College-
Conservatory of Music, in addition to summer study at the American Conservatory in
Fontainebleau, France. A passionate music educator, he is currently a member of the
faculty at Manhattan School of Music Precollege and the Geneva School of Manhattan.
He has regularly been involved with the Center for Faith & Work, where he has
completed the Gotham Fellowship, co-led an Artists Vocational Intensive, participated in the Artist Residency Intensive, given workshops on faith & creativity, and was the
recipient of an Artist Grant. As a writer he has contributed to the Gospel Coalition, Faith
& Work Study Bible, Geneva Journal, and the Cincinnati Enquirer. In his spare time Kyle
enjoys cooking, reading, visiting the Met Museum, birdwatching, and sailing. He resides
in Washington Heights.
